Just to add - I booked DLH for dinner this week, to eat end May. The CM didn't even want to know where we were staying and when I mentioned about the rumour about dinner/DLH she said it isn't true, anyone can book.

There last night for dinner, there were still characters.

Glad to hear there were characters there!

I just phoned again to confirm something else, and I played dumb and asked about the rumour only DLH guests can book (which I wasn't told last time) and she said that's absolutely not correct but she couldn't confirm characters would be there for dinner but they usually are but she can confirm they'll be there for lunch. She did say that we can have the character breakfast every day if we'd like (premium meal plan) at no extra charge and we can book that on a certain date which is actually 64 days before we arrive...

I'll keep stalking the threads for anyone that doesn't have characters at Inventions for dinner and then I'll use my Plan Z dining schedule haha.

Interesting. I was told characters would be there for dinner, and like you, that anyone can book.

As for booking 64 days out. I'm sure that will be incorrect. I rang up to book meals at 59 days out and they wouldn't let me book for my last day (I'm there 5 days), as they said it was too far out... similar to how WDW work it.

Honestly, these things change depending on the CM you speak to!

I absolutely think that day is wrong too but I've been told several times that's when I can book. I've even asked 'don't I have to wait 60 days before my last day' (to book them all at the same time) and they've said no. I have it in my diary as 'They day DLP say I can book meal plans' and then I have my actual day to book... I won't be holding my breath but hey, I'll give it a go! Roll on online reservations though.

If I am on the "plus" plans does anyone know how much extra it is you have to pay for Dinner at Inventions?

Your plus vouchers are worth around £27 per adult, £13 per child. Inventions character lunch or dinner costs £50 per adult, £27 per child, so you would pay the difference (ie £23 per adult, £14 per child).
