Hi! We have recently returned from our Walt Disney world holiday and now have the itching to book something else! Does anyone know if there are any villas within walking distance to Disneyland? Trying to work cheaper ways to do it!

No villas. Look for Air BnB
Loads of hotels in walking distance though. |

Be careful of AirBnB in Anaheim, all short term rentals have to be licensed by the county. You can look up their map of approved rentals here
Most rentals would have their permit number in their details. We have been looking at this too and have found a few options like this or this. Check the STR map to find their locations, using their permit number. Most are on the west side of the park in residential areas, so are walkable via S Walnut Street and DTD entrance, although note that almost all the restaurants are on the south or east side. |

Disneyland is more of a locals park and short term tourist visit area. Most people staying in the area are 2-5 day visitors which means a high turnover of visitors. This is not good in residential areas and why the majority got banned.
Plenty of hotels to fit any budget. Most people are only in the area a few days for Disney as it is not convenient for pretty much anything else other than Knott's Berry Farm for a day. How long are you thinking of staying in Anaheim? |

We stayed the comfort inn on E Katella, very easy walk and very reasonable, with breakfast included.

There are many, many hotels/motels within walking distance of Disneyland. Some of them are even closer to the Disneyland entrance than the "on-site" PPH/DLH hotels! When I was looking at where to stay last year it seems like there is a huge variation in price and quality in the off-site hotels. Apparently many of them were built around when Disneyland opened and were a bit dodgy, but over the years a number have been upgraded/refurbished, while others have been torn down and rebuilt altogether, and some are really quite nice hotels now.
Just be aware that hotels in Anaheim can get booked up, especially if there is a major convention going on at the convention centre... This can also cause a spike in hotel prices too...
