Yeah I was away of the free dining plan in April however I am not holding my breath as I have seen several sites saying that there is a strong posibility that this year wont be what people are expecting.

Saying that, will the free dining plan include my dates (October 28th to November 4th) if there is free dpp then we will just take the whole 3 weeks at Disney (October 19th to November 4th) and downgrade to AA or similar?

The 'no free dining ' chatter happens every single year, so I wouldn't pay too much attention (although one year they will be right after saying it every year ). VH have confirmed it and are taking provisional bookings,as have a few smaller independent agents. A few people who've spoken to Disney have also been given an indication, but not confirmation as Disney never confirm before release. If you can hold your breath until around 19th April, then we should know for definite. Having said that, if it's not free dining that's released, there will still be an offer for 2019, so you're still better off waiting. The current prices are rack rate with no discounts or offers apart from a very small discount if you book accommodation and tickets together, but it's not much of a saving.

October and November have been included in free dining historically. It's only Easter and part of December thats normally blacked out.

By AA, do you mean Art of Animation? Previously, only the suites have been included and it's free breakfast (QS credit) only at value resorts. You need a moderate or deluxe resort for free qsdp or ddp and the gift card.

If you decide to book beforehand, that's up to your, bit I'd recommend at least waiting another 10 days or do you find out what Disney's 2019 offer is firect from them.

Yeah I am in no rush to book just waiting to see what is happening. Will price up Caribbean Beach for 2 weeks as well, as it seems pretty decent for the price..

That's where we're planning to book for the same time

Looking at 19th October for 2 weeks, although may play around with them a bit depending on flights. Done nothing so far except a plan for what we want to book and a bit of research on flights as that's my biggest concern. I'll be booking CBR as soon as Disney release the offer but am considering 10/11 nights there then 3/4 nights in a studio at Wilderness Lodge by renting DVC points. I need to price it all up first. It's a surprise trip for our daughter's 18th birhday

Where do you fly from? and do you prefer a particular airline? We are going from london and normally use BA fly drive. prices this year seem to be around what we typically pay but its not October 2018 yet !

We prefer to fly from Manchester as we're in the Midlands, but will fly from London if the prices are worth it. We don't bother with a hire car, but have heard about good BA fly-drive prices, so will look at those too and then just not bother with the car. Im also going to look at Norwegian as they had some very good prices for October half term time this year. As we prefer not to drive, it's MCO for us rather than Miami, Tampa, Sanford etc. We did hire a car for a couple of days one holiday and my husband just found the driving incredibly stressful, so we don't bother now - it's just not for us. We like to stay on-site and are happy to use Uber
