Parking at a Southampton hotel for duration of cruise
Has anyone sailed from Southampton, having stayed in a local hotel the night before and parked their car at the hotel for the duration of the cruise?
I’m looking for recommendations for a hotel that offers the above for our cruise next year. We’ve decided to drive to Southampton the day before the cruise, rather than catch a coach down on the day.

For our July cruise we have booked the Holiday Inn right on the seafront.
Bed and breakfast, PLUS 15 nights parking PLUS taxis to and from the port - £150 (or there abouts). I can remember the exact price for a standard room as we have upgraded to a sea view room. We often use the Premier Inn at West Quay - dont use the town centre one - its dreadful! We park over night in the West Quay car part for £5 for 24 hours which is right behind the hotel then the following day drive to the port and use the official parking. The PI at West Quay can be anything from £40 upwards if you book it enough in advance - I was supposed to be there (for a now cancelled cruise) in early May and I paid £39 for the room! |

We very often stay in a Premier Inn in or around Southampton and pre book a space on Just Park. We then get an Uber to the port, sometimes the owner of the parking space has dropped us off.

We stay at a place called Elizabeth house and they allow you to leave your car there for a daily fee. You need a taxi to get to the Port but it’s a family business and you get a personal touch.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll be booking the hotel and parking in the next few week.

we do this every year as we travel to Southampton from West Yorkshire. It extends your holiday too. We stay at New Place Sherill Heath (spell?) & are paying £219 this year for their cruise package. We includes dinner (great food), bed & breakfast, a taxi to & from the port & parking. Last year We had 29 days parking & this year it will be 22. One year they couldn't fit us in & we stayed at Hilton Doubletree Southampton, again on a similar cruise package. Another great hotel but no pool, & I like a swim before breakfast!
