I'm driving over in a couple of weeks. First time driving since 2007! From what I remember there's quite a lot of services on the way, the A1 has the bigger ones

The journey is pretty much all motorway and we have never strayed off in search of somewhere to stop since its is only 3 hours.
The services on French motorways tend to be much better than those in the UK. Cleaner, bigger, better food/service etc so we just stop there. There is usually a play area for the kids and a nice cafe etc. There are plenty of them along the route to DLP. |

There are plenty of places to stop of with lovely baguettes etc. When you hit the motorway there will be signs that tell you how frequently service stations are - like a list of the next 5/6. I’ve stopped at quite a few and they have all been decent. We usually stop around the half way mark.

We are doing the journey in one go and I’ll probably bring a packed lunch or something to save us stopping. We are taking the toll roads so apart from service stations probably won’t see anywhere

We usually head straight for Citi Europe after leaving the tunnel, have a mooch around the shops, eat in one of the restaurants and then stock up with goodies for the journey and room from the Carrefour hyper market . Its a tradition now , we started when we had long journeys to go camping and also do it for Disney, although we tend to cross late and stay in the Novotel opposite the shopping centre now.
