Alamo difference between Premium SUV(PFAR) vs Premium Elite SUV(UFAR)

Hi all!

So my sister and I are travelling next April with our families, each family booked the same category with Alamo, I did my reservation first for a Premium Elite SUV(BMW X3 or similar) and my sister did it a couple of days later for a Premium SUV(BMW X3 or similar). First time booking this category, I normally go for Fullsize Car or Standard SUV.

As this was quite strange for me, I called Alamo to verify if there was actually a difference, but nobody was able to give me any real information.

Could anyone help me clarify what the actual line up might be when we get there?

Thank you!

PFAR is a premium SUV like a Surburan, the UFAR is a premium elite which can be anything from a XC90, Audi Q7, VMW x5, etc.. a lot of premium European cars can be found in that group

this is a good thread.

They are the same category. Just sometimes elite is missing from bookings.

If it was the normal premium suv example car would be suburban Yukon XL.or expedition max.

I had this last year where elite wasn't on initial booking but appeared at online check-in. Ended up with Q7 after being told could self downgrade to suburban.

Folks
Remember if you choose a Q7 Audi it’s not German built but Mexican built. Infact all new Q7s in Europe are built in Mexico too.

Still German design, but then BMW X5's are built in North Carolina.
