Mobile Spending money

We go in Aug for 21 nights staying on-site at POR. We have the quick service dining plan so can't see us spending much if anything on food. We aren't hiring a car so if we want to go to mall's or anything we will prob use uber/taxi. We have a day booked at discovery cove and mnsshp. How much spending money do you think we'd need? Kids will have their own $. I've got $1050 already. Was thinking of getting a Halifax clarity card just incase but have £800 Put aside at home to cover any spends.

That would be plenty for us. The most we've ever taken us $1000 for 4 people when we were on the DDP, and that covered meal tips, taxis (pre cheap Uber) and food for 4 off-site days, photos at DC, photos at US, souvenirs and a bit of shopping. We brought about $80 home too.

Spending money is a bit like "how long is a piece of string", if you take it you will spend it no matter how much or how little Your first amount is approx. $50/day but you mention going to the malls/outlets, how much do you want to spend? DW wanted a Coach handbag last trip, there's nearly half your whole budget...IYKWIM
Also have a look at Lyft, we found them cheaper than Uber & used extensively last year, you do need to download the app, I just used my Paypal account to pay each ride.

I did the unthinkable and left my debit and credit cards at home by accident last trip, so could only spend what I had with me- $500 in cash. That was about $62 a day, but that was for one person, off-site, and I ended up coming back with $45 leftover. Tbh my bank account is thanking me now for all the things I just couldn't buy, it was a good tactic to cut back on spending! We were offsite without dining, and I did spot my friend for a few meals because I had owed her some money.

Ubers came out of my paypal so I didn't have to pay for those in cash.

I also recommend you look into the uber pass- its a new thing that allows you to do a one off payment of- I believe- $15 and then the fares never surge for you, so you always get the lowest rate. Only certain cities have it but orlando is one of them. We didn't get it but afterwards I worked out it would have saved us at least $50.
