Mobile CBD balm

Does anyone know the policy on taking CBD balm to US.
This is legally purchased from holland and barrett not some illegal drug 😉
However i do appreciate due to his origins it may be an issue hence my question...
So can i take it on plane? In hand luggage or in hold?...
(I have other controlled drugs i can use if necc but i find cbd most effective..

In the United States, CBD's legal status depends on the source from which it is derived. When derived from marijuana it is a schedule 1 controlled substance under the federal Controlled Substances Act (CSA). ... However, when CBD is derived from hemp or some other lawful source it is not a controlled substance.

saying that though, i took my cbd vape with me last time and didn't have an issue. YMMV... but then that's the sort of risk you have to decide whether or not you think it is worth it *if* you get stopped... if in any sort of doubt, don't do it!

Although CBD oil is legal at Federal level, it is not legal in Florida and is a felony offence at this time.

It has been highlighted in the news yesterday with the arrest of a great grandmother visiting Disney. Disney security found CBD oil during a bag check and she was arrested by Orange County SO on a felony charge, despite having a note from her Dr and despite the tincture stating on the bottle that it was THC free. It was pointed out by her attorney that had she been found in possession of up to 19g of marijuana leaf, it would only be a misdemeanour.

It doesn't bear thinking about that carrying a Federally legal product, bought off the shelves, can land you in jail on a felony charge in Florida so until the law is passed making it legal here, it's not worth the risk.

No, they dropped the charges after a local news channel got involved but Orange County Sheriff's Office is adamant that the arrest was justified under present laws and they are correct. It's a very grey area because a lot of stores sell it on the shelves and it's legal at Federal level.

The poor lady spent 12 hours in jail before she bonded out but will now be faced with the legal aspects of having a felony arrest on her record.

Currently, Bill SB1020 that seeks to regulate the hemp industry is being pushed through and hopefully will also bring CBD oil legislature into line with Federal law.
