Tenerife Feb warm pool!
Currently debating between expensive Caribbean for Feb half term or more reasonable canaries. We’ve done Gran Canaria recently and would prefer to return to Tenerife next Feb if we do Canaries. Need a hotel or villa with a heated pool though as dd would be disappointed if too cold to swim. So any personal recommendations as a Hotel stating heated pool we all know isn’t worth the paper written on!

Thanks. Have done the be live twice once Feb and once Dec and you’re right it was warm enough to swim in pool. It’s got stunning views but both my husband and Mum got really sick with sickness. May have been nothing to do with Hotel but has put us off! Plus would like more to walk to.
Will look at other one |

I go to Be Live Costa Los Gigantes every year in Feb, been past 8 years and it is always heated when we go.
Note this hotel is also sold via First Choice as their holiday village. They used to heat only one side of the main pool, now it's both. They have always also heated the quiet pool. And its heated properly, so it's decently warm. It is a very good hotel if you have kids- hard to beat in fact. I probably wouldn't go as a couple, but if it was just the two of us I wouldn't go all inclusive. Few tips: 1. Often cheaper to book via the hotel direct (Be Live website), and doing that you also get a spa voucher and a great free dolphin and whale watching boat trip. 2. I'd recommend hiring a car from Autoreisen at airport, about £100 a week and if weather turns (it's normally pretty good, low 20's) you can have some trips out and also drive to Siam Park etc. It's an easy drive from airport to hotel as they put a new motorway in for the bit over the mountains. 3. I'd recommend upgrading to the premium room- best views, all done out in white, worth a bit extra. 4. Request blocks C or end of block D close to C. This overlooks the quiet pool, great views, access to snack bar, and is a short walk to main building. Nice quiet location and in separate buildings, not in the main block. This is the hotel, if you are in C block you basically have that view right at the end For full walkthrough (a few years old now but hasn't changed much, they've added facilities including kids splash park, new furniture etc) see here: Edited at 01:25 PM. |
