Hot Topic Sizing

I am hoping someone can help me with sizing for Hot Topic.

I am looking to buy a couple of tshirts online for delivery on arrival using Beth and Tim. The sizing is confusing me.

Most of the Tshirts are in "Junior" sizes and go up to "Plus" size which is fine, however the UK equivelent sizing starts at 0-1 and in the "normal" range goes up to 21-26 for a 3XL in Junior sizes. Are these based on age? - Surely not as they go up to age 26 on that basis!

I'm so confused! If anyone could help me out from experience and let me know what I should be looking at for the following:

1. Me - adult female size 14-16
2. DS1 - UK clothing size 11-12 childs
3. DS2 - UK clothing size 8-9 childs

Hope that makes sense and apologies as I am not doubt reading it wrong. And before someone asks Yes I am being lazy rather than working out actual waist, bust etc measurements :-). Don't worry I won't hold you to it if the clothes don't fit!

Hot Topic sizing is extremely variable - some items come up small, some large... sorry...

Ive found when shopping at the like of Hot Topic that it helps to know your measurements rather than sizes. If you know your inches its usually easier to work out the sizes. I used this when shopping at heruniverse and it really made things a lot easier!

Just to give an idea my daughter is a size 12, she got this in a Medium hottopic/product/ste.../11354303.html and it is quite baggy - she wears anothe4 vest underneath for modesty
