Star Wars 2019

Hi
I was thinking of going on holidays around September 2019, my husband is a star wars fan. I was wondering whether there are any rough opening dates for star wars land, and whether there will be any differences between Star Wars lands in Disneyland California and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Basically I am wondering whether to go to California or Florida next year. I would love to hear what you all think. Many thanks !

I picked Florida purely because there’s so much more to Disneyworld than Disneyland I.e more parks for your money. That would help me decide in your predicament. That being said I think Star Wars land will be amazing in both so if it’s that you’re wanting to see the most and you want to try something different ( I don’t know if you’ve been before?) then maybe California is the one.

California’s Star Wars Land should be open by Sept 2019, however rumours suggest WDW won’t open until fall 2019, so good chance it won’t be open in Sept 2019. Although no one will know for sure until Disney announce opening dates, which they prob won’t do until this time next year based on previous projects.

Both lands will be very similar (a few physical differences due to the land area), but have the same atttactions, dinning, retail and experiences.

While you do get more parks in Orlando, the California parks pack more attractions into the two parks they do have compared to each WDW Park.

They announced at the last D23 that Star Wars Land in California would open before the next D23 which is at the end of August next year.

Florida, it looks to be the larger one of the two.

I'd stick with Florida. Disneyland may be the original and is worth one visit but for the size, space and isolation WDW will always win out for me.

I've heard that Disney World will be the bigger and better one. Would love to know if it will be open by next summer!

If you are going in September then Disneyland. The one I Disney World probably will not be open by then.
