I don’t think I would do Vegas for such a short stay - the jet lag is much more difficult than East Coast.

Of your options I would definitely choose Mirage but I’d look into flights and hotel separately too.

We’ve stayed at the Signature, Vdara, Venetian, Mandalay Bay. We are on a super duper budget for our trip next month so I think we are staying at Tuscany Suites which is just behind the strip, and significantly cheaper than the other options I was lukewarmly considering (Harrahs, Linq, NYNY, Park MGM)

Karen think you might be pleasantly surprised at Park MGM. Stayed there a couple of weeks ago and really liked the rooms. Clean, comfy beds, lovely shower, and great staff. Only thing I didnt like was the lack of drawers in the room... cant understand why the designer thought we could manage with so little drawer space. For OP this wont be so much of a problem as she is there for such a short time. Much preferred it to LINQ and NYNY.

We stayed at the bellagio a few years back. Good location and a really nice pool area.

Thanks everyone loads for us to go off and think about.

I’ve been looking this afternoon at hotel only prices but I’m struggling to find cheaper prices separately than BA have.

The budget I put up covered the total cost on BA including connecting flights from Edinburgh and the hotel stay.

Good to know Jo, I do like that location. The prices are nuts for the four nights I’m going (we are then moving on elsewhere). Park is coming in at £100/night and Tuscany is only £43. Mirage £115. Normally I’d choose Mirage but I need to keep costs down

Rescuer, that is going to be one heck of a travel day out and back for such a short trip if you’re coming from Edi, bad enough if you can fly direct.

we love the MGM so much stayed there both times on our trip and we always fond it reasonably priced too, I would definitely try for more than 3 nights though i've done 3 nights and 5 nights before and the 3 nights one we survived on 4 hours sleep each night it is doable but a much more pleasant experience for 5 nights.,

Heard excellent reports from people staying at Tuscany. If you have a car sure it will be fine.

I appreciate the advice do you think that a 4 night trip should really be a non starter and that we should think about going somewhere else especially with the connecting flights.

Gosh I personally don’t want to rain on your parade I have seen some fabulous four night trip reports which might help you decide, I think they lived close to the airport flying direct though.

We probably won’t pick up the car until we leave - looks like an easy walk through Bally’s to the Strio though (or Uber!)

This was the trip report I thought of (though I’m now horrified to see the date it covered, as I thought it was only a few years ago! )
