We do have to be quite careful with those too. Very easy to get thier antlers tangled in the curtains !

Our moose here in Florida is a good bit bigger
We the guy out today to remove Mr /Mrs Armadilow who had taken up
Residence just beyond our pool cage thankfully the HOA are paying for it
The flipping pesky raccoon was in the garbage can again this morning as DH hadn't shut the lid right and he wonder why I open the garbage can with the lid in front of me
And I won't mention hissing Sid in the pool drain
Him indoors even ran out of the shower with a towel I may add to see what I was screaming at yesterday morning

You won at Raccoon!

The slithery thing would put me make me scream too. I love Florida but hate these. The idea of them being inside my house area gives me the chills!

Our humane trap is so good we managed to catch one in it when it was stored in the cupboard, un-baited (but must have still smelt like the bait we used previously). We heard a rattling and went to investigate

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pest-Stop-PSTTB-Trip-Trap-Boxed/dp/B000LXWQBW/ref=asc_df_B000LXWQBW/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=205291394354&hvpos=1o1&hvne tw=g&hvrand=6268788322354234337&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hv qmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046087& hvtargid=pla-421479302549&psc=1&th=1&psc=1

Please give humane traps another go. That's all I will say on the matter as some of these replies have made me quite sad

Am persevering. Can I ask what bait you were using?

Also random daft question but are nice "homing" like pigeons? Patently not going to drop it 100 miles away and expect it to make its way back, but how far is far enough?

We used peanut butter / chocolate spread. They love it!

I think the rule is 1 mile, but we took them a couple of miles away to a local wood to be safe. We sprinkled some cereal bar on the ground nearby so they had sustenance until they got established in the area.

Got a baby (humanely - well if chocolate spread and crispies are humane).

Makes we wonder where the rest of the family is...

Glad you caught one. So it’s got babies? 😬 I hope there’s not many of them?...

Now for a 5 mile treck to let it loose.

Good luck with your next catch. 🤞🏼

Pesky things!

Kat
