Sandals experiences - would you recommend?

We had a booking at Sandals Antigua- i was looking forward to it but i made the mistake of joining their fan facebook page. It really put me off, i made a comment about i thought it was a couples resort and i got laid into, i was so upset i cancelled the holiday.

Gosh that is awful. Sandals are couples resorts aren’t they? I thought that was how they market themselves.

well i thought so! You'd have been vilified too then The price we were paying we've booked to go to WDW so not hugely disappointed but it was somewhere i always thought i'd go. Read your post above too - i agree with better service in Asia. We went to Northern Thailand- Chiang May, absolutely brilliant resort!

Thank you all, you've pretty much confirmed our fears, at the prices they're charging for some of their accommodation I really was hopeful it'd be on a different level to this.

That's helped narrow the choice back down

The world is all about opinions and then making up your mind so I can only comment on my experiences and they are completely different from Claudette's. We like Sandals and have never had the experiences she had - which tbh if anyone had those you wouldn't go there again. However next January we are back for our 3rd visit to Sandals Grenada and I think it will take us to over 120 nights

So would I recommend going - yes of course. Are there positive and negative comments about Sandals? yes there are, however there are about anywhere you go.

BTW - the holiday above to Bora Bora looks lovely but it wouldn't be for me. Its a wonderful world that we all like different things! Hurrah for that!
