I have extremely wide feet. I love these. They come in various colours and the sole is removable in case you want to put your own orthotic in. The toe area has Velcro. I have them in black suede and gold and they are nice looking when they are on. peterhahn/waldlaeu...ed-325183.html

Amazon have them in stock too search ‘Waldlaufer Hakura’. They are £71.

Other brands I know are Vionics, Aetrex and Mephisto.

I have bought Fitflops with toe post for this trip. A previous pair of toe-post sandals from Clark’s did rub to begin with, but this was remedied by wrapping a small plaster around it until it softened. You couldn’t actually see the plaster once I had them on, and after a few days I removed the plaster and they were fine.

I know you said you'd already ordered some, but another vote for fitflop here!
The soles are fantastic and so supportive.
I've had several pairs in a variety of designs/styles and all have been great!
I am usually always a size 6, but did find that a 6.5 was a better fit.

I love gabor sandals - they are so comfy - I have wide feet - my husband calls them troll feet and says they are as wide as they are long but I find the gabor wide fit sandals both fashionable and comfy and that's with me being on my feet all day

Blimey, I've just looked up fitflops and looked at sandals and the ones I like are £180!

Skechers have spoiled me for other shoes. They are so light. Every other shoe now feels heavy and Skechers are so soft underfoot too. I've got loads in different styles, but none are terribly sexy looking though but comfort is key on holiday.

Good thread I've developed wide feet since I had the kids and always on the look out for other holiday shoe suggestions

Shoe shopping is no pleasure when you have difficult feet!
Try adding my size 3 into the equation !
I cant stand the toe post sandles until I found FitFlops while in Florida many years back now - fabulous and my lovely cream toe post with back strap ones have been on every holiday to Florida since. So precious are they the last time there and caught in a dreaded downpour evening I took them off rather than get them wet & waded barefoot to the bus stop

I’ve actually bought DD age 10 a pair of Fitflops as she takes after me with wide feet - in fact we have the same black pair (hers a size 4, mine a 5, lol) as I’d ordered a few pairs with thinner straps which felt comfortable, but I wonder about them slipping off on rides, whereas the ones with the big triangle toe covering feel more secure. DD 7 has new Crocs from amazon (her choice), and DD12 has some Havianas flip flops as well as a pair of trainers. I’m already nervous about her wearing flat flip flops around the parks, although I’ve read plenty of people do. I’ve told her on 1st day to put her trainers & socks in her rucksack just in case. My DS has new trainers, Adidas sliders for the water parks (he’s actually had these since last summer), but flatly refuses to wear sandals!
