DD 7 has new Crocs from amazon (her choice), and DD12 has some Havianas flip flops as well as a pair of trainers. I’m already nervous about her wearing flat flip flops around the parks, although I’ve read plenty of people do. I’ve told her on 1st day to put her trainers & socks in her rucksack just in case. My DS has new trainers, Adidas sliders for the water parks (he’s actually had these since last summer), but flatly refuses to wear sandals!
The footwear is what’s stressing me most. The kids both got new trainers a month ago to wear them in a bit and will also take an older pair. They have sliders and flip flops for the pool but neither wanted any sandals

I have very swollen feet because of lymphoedema in my feet/legs and can't get shoes to fit in normal shoe shops so I get them from a company called Cosyfeet who specialise in footwear for problem feet. They're not cheap but worth it and I don't pay VAT on them which saves some money. I really don't care what they look like, comfort is the most important thing to me and I'm just pleased I can actually get shoes and sandals that actually fit me.

I really like Saltwater sandals. Most comfy things I have ever worn

I stock up on Crocs out there, I get the Cleo type or Mylene, both fit my wider feet. I find it too hot for trainers, and Sketchers are too narrow for me.

I can second these - I have some of the Crocs Meleen ones (Meleen Twist) Had them for years now and still look as good as new.
Light as a feather and comfy underfoot, plus you can get them wet without worry and your feet dry quickly after
