Free Dining Plan
Looks like disney will not be offering this for 2020. News on grape vine they have sold a lot of allocation for 2020 due to star wars so not offering the free Dining plan option.

I think pretty much a dead certain my wife used to work for travel agent and still friendly with her old colleagues. Supposedly at managers meeting for company disney reps there explaining 2020 plans. Allocation of holidays for 2020 at Disney are nearly full they have therefore withdrawn dining plan option as people are booking still without offer

Aww that’s a real shame as the DDP really makes the holiday for us... along with all the Disney magic . It’s just the icing on the cake

No disrespect but the same thing comes up every year. I think the only way anybody knows for sure is waiting for an announcement.
We’ve always booked with free ddp in the past and we’re doing it again this summer. Next year however it’s working out better for us to get annual passes and rent dvc. People who normally get ddp will still be able to find something to work for them I’m sure. There are now more partner hotels offering the same perks as onsite but at cheaper prices so that might work for some. |

I agree. There's always someone trusted who's heard that the Disney reps have said no free dining and it's not happened yet. This year is probably the most likely, but I wouldn't write it off completely yet. September 2020 onwards isn't even available for sale yet, so can't possibly be sold out, and the US isn't on sale yet either. Personally, I think it's more of a tactic by TAs to get people to book earlier. There will be some sort of offer, even if it's not free dining, so by booking now people are still booking the most expensive way possible at full rack rate. Disney reps themselves have also told people that there will be an announcement on 11th April with a new offer starting on 25th April.

I'm not sure how 2020 can be sold out, there is availability on the website right now. Just looking at random dates through the year and can see most resorts and room types.

Well just have to wait and see what they say next month. We seen some of my wifes old colleagues tonight. We looked to book next year 2020 but ended up booking 2019 instead. They just said good job you booked this year and got ddp. As they been told it will not be offered in 2020. I am only saying what i am being told from reliable source. Lets hope what i have been told is wrong then, and Disney just telling porkies to ta's

If I had a dollar for every time Disney "reps" have been wrong about this in the past I could afford dinner at Jaleo.
