Dead easy. I've got the Avis app and Avis Preferred. I booked a Mustang the day before, turned up next day and had the car in about 5 minutes.

Through the section where the deer are our friends have been fined twice.

The limit there is 45mph during the day and 35mph at night. There were 3 patrol cars active in this stretch when we went through in both directions.

We flew in to/out of West Palm Beach a few years ago. Nice quiet airport - IIRC it has a putting green in it? Always hire a car, so must've been ok otherwise I would've remembered it!

We flew into west palm beach via New York , very quick and easy to get through. Picked up a hire car and out of the airport very quickly.

We've done this trip many times from different airports, ATL TO EYW with Delta and MCO to EYW with Silver airways, we wouldn't use any of them again because of missed connections and losing our suitcases. We decided to always drive down and then it is in our hands.
From MCO we stop in a hotel half way, on the return we drove it in one go, no stops, it took 8 hrs because of an RTA on the turnpike. Like other people have said, is to watch speed limits in the keys on US1, also they park empty police cars at the side of the road to kid you. Next year we are flying into FLL so there will be less driving.

Thanks everyone.

The bargain flights we found disappeared quite quickly, before we booked them!

Flown in and out many times, and flown to Miami and driven down the keys too, both equally enjoyable...definately book your vehicle before you fly! enjoy...Im looking for flights there now myself.
