Google maps say it's 7 miles, 15 minute journey by car.

Assume you mean the town of Celebration? According to Google maps it's about 8 miles from POFQ.

Because we always have a car it's a simple minor diversion for us to visit - as we do a couple of times every holiday.

It's a township originally developed by Disney to personify the perfect American township. Nothing to do with WDW now though. It's very tidy town with lots of expensive houses. A few non-chain shops, restaurants and, of course, a Starbucks. Pleasant lakes to walk round. Town centre and houses very decorated at Christmas and Halloween.

It isn't a theme park but a nice place to pass a couple of hours.

No idea how to get there by Uber or bus though I'm afraid or the cost.

I agree with Mick. It is a lovely place to have a little wander around. Goodness knows how much the houses cost though

Tom

A couple of years ago I looked at some of the covenants attached to the houses. Apart from maintaining those perfect white picket fences they also have to maintain the height of the grass on their lawns below a maximum level.

We did our usual tour last December. We couldn't park anywhere near the town centre so we just drove round the houses randomly. We spotted a house just off Eastlawn Drive ($1m plus houses) with a total National Lampoons Christmas theme. Outside the house was a small table with free hot chocolate, cookies and a visitors book. We were about to write something when the owner came out. He was a lovely guy and we chatted for 15 minutes. Would that happen in the UK?

I think that our Dibber daughter may have seen this. She did a walk round the three central lakes on her last holiday.

Have you seen this one on Halloween?

OP

Just go on to Google maps and find "Eastlawn Drive, Celebration". Put the little yellow man down in Streetview and do a virtual drive along it.

Not zoned for short term rentals I'm afraid. Good job we love Highgate Park.

Mick. As you say I couldn't see that happening here.

Is it just me that thinks of the Stepford Wives every time I drive through there!
