The Kuna Mahuna Croatia Holiday - Day Five - River Rafting

Today we started with another massive breakfast, ready for our river rafting excursion!
I had poached eggs, salmon and vegetables -

Terry had poached eggs benedict, bacon and mini sausages -

Then we all stuffed our faces full of chocolate pancakes and croissants! So fast there is no photographic evidence, sorry!
We set off for our rafting, up up into the mountains, on a coach, round the tightest, scariest hairpin bends I have ever seen, my anxiety could not have been worse and wasn't helped by noticing the driver who was on his mobile phone, and driving one handed!
Finally, we arrived at Cetina River, and got all life jacketed up and ready to raft! The water was crystal clear, they drink it locally, and our guide Ante was really nice.

We rafted 12kms down the river, we saw a turtle, fish and some ducks! They have wolves and boars here too apparently but we didn't see any. We went over a few Rapids, and then we had a 'bumba' where we all had to sit down low in the raft and lift our paddles as we went through a particularly rough rapid, which we all enjoyed! My husband basically fell into my lap which was unexpected!

We got out to swim, and the kids jumped from rocks again (I passed this time! ) all in all, an amazing experience and a day to remember.
We walked back to our hotel and after a quick shower had a nice dinner, I managed to get a photo of my dessert - chocolate lava cake melted chocolate fondant mmmmmm... (and wine of course!) Goodnight!

The rafting looks amazing! Don't blame you for not jumping off the rocks

I love chocolate so that dessert would have been my choice too!

Croatia looks beautiful, I have never thought of it as a holiday destination for us but you are convincing me otherwise Not sure I could do the rafting though, I'm such a scaredy cat!
