QS dining plan and Gluten Free - Help please
Hi,
My DH is Gluten intolerant and sadly he soon suffers if he has something that contains Gluten. In 2015 we had the DDP and at the restaurants we found it quite easy to speak to them and have a GF option. Can anyone advise whether the QSDP is similar and whether most QS restaurants have GF options? Or can accommodate and change meals so they are GF Friendly. Just trying to get some ideas of places to head to for the meals especially in the parks to make it easier for him. Thank you.

the site mentioned is great it is a bit time consuming to go through all the menus but it give you a great idea of what it available and the best qs loctations for you.
We have to do gf & df and pretty much everywhere has something -there is usually a little extra wait time for things to be prepared as they are cooked to order usually by 1 particular chef. There is quite a bit of choice for mains but dessert/sweet snack options are pretty limited |

If you’re in to watching vlogs, vloggers Becky and Lloyd show a lot of gluten free options as Becky is gluten intolerant. She always seems to have a lot of options to choose from

If you are on Facebook there is a great group called Gluten Free in Orlando with reviews on lots of Disney Restaurants. My DH is celiac and has never had a problem getting gluten free options from quick service but there is sometimes a slight wait and they give you a pager to go up once the meal is ready. We did find the dessert and snack options lacking (except fruit or ice-cream) but this is not just at Disney and we tended to carry suitable snacks with us for all of us anyway.

Just ask in any in the qs restaurants when you get there and they will send the chef out to speak to you, they tell you what is ok to have. It's no problem, my granddaughter had lots to choose from

My DD is coeliac and did fine on the QSDP except the lack of fibre. GF food is fibre deficient (it seems!) and over time the pizza, pasta and chicken tenders did her no favours due to the lack of sides of veg. We worked around it with fruit as a side for breakfast and a snack later on.

I am a coeliac and have had brilliant holidays eating at quick service places. The accommodation for gluten free is amazing. I always ask to speak to a manager to discuss for reassurance. I’m sensitive to cross contamination so need to be super careful and have thankfully always been fine. The only place where we had issues was flame tree bbq in animal kingdom where somehow I was given the wrong food, luckily I realised. Apart from that I’ve eaten at loads of quick services in resorts and parks. Breakfasts of Mickey waffles and bacon, pancakes, lunches of hot dogs, chicken nuggets, burgers, salads.. so much choice.

You might already do this, but if you search for #glutenfreedisney on Instagram, loads of options and ideas come up for meals and snacks.
