... Tomorrow will be our last day in our beautiful house...

I am dreading saying goodbye to this place as so many memories here, but onwards and upwards and looking forward to more space, a bigger kitchen and a quieter village location.

Packers arriving 8:30 in the morning and we will be off Friday mid morning to start our next adventure

Wishing you lots of luck and many years of new happy memories. It is hard to leave a home but you take your memories with you. It will be hard at first and please don't feel silly its your mind and body naturally greaving just take each day as it comes and you will get there.

It is hard to leave a home and sounds like it was a lot of work. We just moved after 29 years in one house and many works and redecorations. But yes, work to do here but the extra space and flat garden mean a lot as we get older.
Here’s to many happy memories and safe moving, at least you aren’t moving on the hottest day ever recorded!

Good luck, we moved in the summer to a very different house in a quieter spot, still walking distance to shops but a village location.

I know this is a more practical house and it's well insulated, triple glazed and well built and beautiful BUT I still have pangs for our Edwardian, draughty and impractical city home.

I know we did the right thing and I'm sure you have too but be prepared for occasional feelings of sadness.
