ADR Day = Dissapointment

So today is my ADR day, in 180 days we will be waving bye to universal and hello to Disney.

I started booking my ADR's and I am feeling a little disappointed, Now I have never booked ADR's before so unsure how normal this is but the 3 ADR's I wanted before park open (crystal palace, BOG & Garden Grill) I have not been able to get times for until park open at 9am. We wanted Ohana on the first night and there is nothing at all available that day.

We are a party of two and reasonably flexible on times and I was online booking them dead on 11am.

Still unable to get breakfast slots - do they release more times? I am going to keep trying to modify In the hope of an earlier slot coming available.

Keep checking, slots open up all the time as people cancel. If you are staying on site you can do 180 + 10 days this is why is it harder to get the more desirable places early on.

Sometimes the parks operating hours change too which means that more times open up too so certainly is worth checking and booking and then modifying.

That is very unusual and unlucky. I have just looked for pre park opening breakfast 180 days from now and also the two previous days (I can’t look any further out) and both BOG and Crystal Palace are available on each for pre park, but GG earliest is 9:10am. Have you any flexibility on your dates?

I don’t think they will release more tables, it will be a case of somebody else cancelling.

You've been very unlucky as while you might not get exactly what you hoped there are usually other options that are not too far off.

One thing to try is to look for tables for a different party size as sometimes that brings up different options.
People do cancel/change bookings so its possible slots will become available the days or so before is often a good time to check for last minute cancellations.

Did you try and book these reservations towards the end of your stay?

If you are trying for these early breakfast reservations at the beginning of your holiday, many people will have already been able to book these due to them being able to book their arrival date +10 days.

If you try for the early sort after breakfasts nearer the end of your holiday, you might have more luck.

Also, just noticed that your countdown shows 168 days not 180 days. Are you sure your ADR day wasn't a couple of weeks ago?

Yes, we are staying at universal first, so its 180 days until we check into Disney

What happens to the "spare person" on the booking? I have managed to do this for one of them so the ADR is for 3 people, I wont be charged for one person missing their ADR will I?
