I am self-employed & just put my own name down as the company I work for on both ESTA & Global Entry applications. Both went through fine.

At the Global Entry interview the officer asked if I had a separate company name & I said no. She just asked what line of work I was in and noted that & all was good. Since having Global I've never once been asked about work - on my last admission to MCO earlier this month, the officer never said a single word to me, just looked at the GE receipt and my passport and handed the latter back to me. Through in 3mins.
