Disney 2018 tickets only valid 2018?

Hi, can anyone tel me if I have 2018 tickets but then cannot go would I lose the money for my tickets or can I use them next year? Do they have an expiration date?

They have to be used to enter a park by the 31st of Dec 2018 or they will expire.

Otherwise people would just buy the current year�s ticket for cheaper.

Funnily enough, it's a case of "does exactly what it says on the tin".

The 2018 tickets must be used within 2018*. Hence why they are called 2018 tickets. If you want to use tickets in 2019 then you must buy 2019 tickets. And if you want to use tickets in 2020 then you need 2020 tickets (these are not available to buy yet). And so on.

BTW, if you bought your ticket from Disney then they may allow you to use the money spent on the unused 2018 ticket as part-payment towards a 2019 ticket.

(* technically, the last date that you must first use a 2018 ticket is 31st Dec 2018. The ticket will then expire 14 days after this first use - and so they can last until 14th January 2019)
