I day ticket for Magic Kingdom

We have been to Orlando several times for a few days each time en route to Clearwater.
Never been interested in doing any parks but we are going in late April and Hubby has suddenly said he would like to go to Magic Kingdom this time just for the day.

Can you tell me where is the best place to buy a one day ticket for two of us. Also I have heard mentioned fast passes - what are they and are we able/allowed to get them.

Sorry to sound thick but the last time I did Disney was the 1980's!
Thanks in advance for any advice x

you can buy 1 day tickets directly on the US Disney site

or you can look at the suppliers advertising on this forum (yellow box above this forum)

be advised that one day tickets are separate if you want to go to MK or to one of the 3 other parks.
you NEED to purchase a MK ticket if you want to go to MK
also note that price will vary depending on the day you go, so be sure to select a ticket relevant to your date of visit

you can set up an account on mydisneyexperience, and link your tickets there once purchased
you will then be able to book 3 fastpass+ for your date (30 days before visit if you are not staying onsite). This will get you faster access to the rides you've selected.

disneyworld.disney.go/
select USA English at the top of the page if you get the UK page
