We sat on the runway at MCO for two hours last years due to a storm hitting the area meaning we had no chance of catching our PHL MAN flight. AA were great and held the flight for us. Mind you there was 50+ people on the delayed flight going to Manchester so maybe they Only held it because of the amount of people connecting.

Tight connections exiting the US are far easier to make, unless there’s a takeoff delay of course...

We too were once held up by a storm and the plane was held up for us and several other families.
We have also done the philli flight and we were off one plane and straight on the other (gate next to each other) no problem! |

My parents were delayed once coming back from Phoenix through Philly. They got the best treatment on the internal flight, they were upgraded to first class, which ensured their luggage got off first. I was collecting them from Manchester and was tracking the flights online, I was convinced they’d missed the connection, as their flight landed AFTER the transatlantic one should have taken off. The airport had a buggy ready to get them across the airport to catch the connection, and the flight had been held for them, and not only did they make it, their luggage did too!
I think this was with US. |
