Toy Story Land - go on opening day?
We're lucky enough to be there for the opening of Toy Story Land and I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on being there for opening?
I'm guessing it will be totally mobbed but then it's going to be mobbed for a while anyway. Do you think there be anything special on the day? I also expect there to be some soft openings so we might be able to check it out a few days before as well.

I would go. Write the day off and go for the experience. Get there as early as possible and see if you can see the actual opening of it. I’m sure there will be press in front of you but it will be fun to experience.
Just go with the mind set that you probably won’t get to ride on anything. Anything after that is a bonus

We’re going for the experience. It’s our first full day so getting up really early won’t be a problem.

We are in Orlando for opening day as well and have been wondering whether to go on opening day. Is there likely to be an opening ceremony as such it will it just be open from park opening time. We were planning AK for this day but might change

I would expect massive/stupid queues. I remember Frozen opening there was a 6 hour queue.

There is no way I'd do this. The crowds will be unmanageable. It's difficult enough in July without added pressure if openings. If you're staying on site you might be better off taking advantage of the extra magic hours 7am openings. That's what we intend to try.
