2 hours to meet Anna and Elsa in Epcot when the film had just come out. Worth every second to see DD's faces. Rides 45 mins but remember queuing an hour years ago for Back to the Future!

In May 2014 we didn't wait longer that 20 mins for anything.. we used fastpass for the long queue rides and then anything else we pretty much walked on. We were so surprised but very happy!

30mins is generally our cut-off (although this can be stretched for new rides that we are desperate to ride!)

45 mins for a ride we love, 30 mins for others.

I go back to the days before FP. I remember in 1990 queuing for 3 hours for Star Tours.
2 hours was the norm for rides like ET in Universal too. |

Halloween Horror Nights regularly has whopping three hour queues for the houses.
For regular attractions we generally won't get in a line that exceeds 30 minutes advertised. Mostly the long waits are because the attraction breaks down and we've waited quite a while so we end up sticking it out and investing even more We once queued for three hours for Splash Mountain, as it kept breaking down. I waited over an hour for Ollivanders at IOA once. I think it all depends on the ride, how new it is, how likely you are to get on it at another point in your hols, how much you have a child with you that desperately MUST do it... etc. I think I'm right in saying fathers were queuing for 5+ hours for Anna and Elsa meet and greets at one point. |

I wouldn't knowingly join a queue with longer than 30mins wait.
We did queue 2 hours for new Frozen ride as we got there at rope drop (as we couldn't get FP) but it was down and we knew if we left we wouldn't have another chance. Didn't expect them to take so long to get it working and it definitely confirmed I would never queue 2 hours for anything again! |

We've only been to DLP so far, and I surprised myself at my tolerance for queuing! And that was for rides for our children which I would once never have gone on!
I reckon we waited over an hour for Peter Pan a couple of times, and definitely over an hour for Autopia, and possible not far off 90 minutes cumulative waiting for a princess meet-and-greet at the Princess Pavillion (if you add up the time to get a ticket plus the time actually waiting in-line at our allotted time!). And in the Disney Studios park, we must have waited an hour for the Studio Tram tour, which was more than frustrating as there are two queues, and just like at the supermarket check-out we chose the one that looked shortest but then seemed to move at half the speed! |
