This is in part the result of Disney increasing the capacity of its hotels, without developing the parks in a similar way. Even EMH can still see the parks heaving, and offsite guests, who after all still pay the same for a park ticket, are in a worse situation.
Queuing for 2-3 hours for a short ride would, for me, destroy any illusion of magic, and severely limits the opportunities to enjoy the visit.

MK is crazy busy now all year round. Looks like these Easter weeks will be exceptionally busy!

That is insane! I have heard similar about queue ratios so those stuck in standby can be there for a very, very long time. Only managed to ride 7DMT once - we enjoyed it but wouldn't wait more than 45 mins to do so again.

I've never understood how s queue gets longer than about 90 minutes. Surely there is a point where everyone walking past would say no that's too long I'm not waiting?

But it doesn't seem to be the case.

We waited an hour for 7dmt and for forbidden journey at universal but generally wouldn't join a queue unless it 40 mins or less. I can't understand how people can see a queue of over 2 hours and join it - definitely not for me.

No I definitely wouldn't que that long! I didn't even rate the ride anyway and didn't even bother using my second fast pass on it that's how much I wasn't bothered about it. My DH and 2 dd thought it was ok but I'd personally much rather go on Splash mountain!

60 minutes for a new ride that I really want to go on, around 20 minutes for others are my limits, I remember the queue for transformers when it was new was more than 3 hours and people were still joining it luckily we stayed at rpr so had early entry plus express pass thank god, no ride is that good

I get if it's your first time and you have kids that you really don't have an option if you have spent a lot of money to get there. It's spoils it if you don't want to plan or have gone without the help of forums ( let's face it many don't have the dibb to help them ) . The fast pass queues and the ratios certainly seem to be pushing up ride times for sure especially if they are filling a whole ride with just fast pass and only a few carts with standby. It's the kids I feel for , certainly looses the magic

Americans tend to spend only one day at each park so have no choice but to queue or miss out completely.

The advantage of our ultimate tickets is that we can come and go when we please.
