Does this mean I could check in online at 60 days, and then go the campsites, say 2 days before we're due to stay, and collect our magic bands? Would this then mean I wouldn't actually need to go back on our check in day?

Yes, that's how I understand it.
I have booked a night, two days after we arrive in Florida and I am planning to pickup the bands the day before, ie our day 1. As I will have checked in online and have bands, i don't have any reason to go back.
I have now booked my fast pass for the 2 days (for the one night stay) and the day before. The rest of the fast pass days will become available daily for my 14 day ticket
Hope that makes sense

I have a quick question
I have the campsite booking
The tickets are set up and the fast pass window should be 60 days in mid June

However it's currently only showing a 30 day window

Will it automatically turn into showing the right dates when I get to "t minus 60?"

Yes. You get the 30 day window as (presumably) you have 14 day tickets that are activated when you use them first so disney doesn't know when you'll do this

It does know your resort booking though, so it'll open then

How does the parking work. Do you have to park at the resort or can you park at any park and if this is the case do you get a permit or something. Can you also access the extra magic hours doing this?

If you stay one night, you get two days parking, with a permit for the parks and you can use the magic hours for those two days too as you are a normal guest

Thanks everyone.
So much useful info in this thread.

I've just upgraded my 14 day ults to 21 day ults so that i can get the extra weeks fastpasses BUT it hasn't 'linked' yet and i'm at 49 days. Hope it does it soon as i'd planned on getting AP's when i arrive and only upgraded to get the FP's now for some of the more popular rides. Otherwise the upgrade to 21 days will have been a complete waste of time and money if I cannot get my extra weeks fp's soon!

arrgghhhh!

"Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.
We give complimentary Magic Bands® when a guest stays at any of our resorts including the campsites. If you live in the US, then we send out your MBs to you in advance. You can begin to do your online check in at 60 days prior to check in, through your My Disney Experience® (MDX) account. You can actually go to the resort ten days in advance of your check in date to activate your package so you can begin to use it. That cannot be done online or over the phone, but only at the resort itself and only ten days or less prior to check in. So, you see, we have plenty of options for you in regards to what you are asking. I hope this helps to answer your questions and that you have a magical visit with us."
So we can book for one night on our first full day, do online check in, go and collect our Magic Bands (and parking passes?) on our arrival day when we don't really do much besides unpack and eat, so that we're all set and ready to use in the morning? Brilliant!

Thank you.
