Annual Travel Insurance Query

We've got a family annual travel insurance policy which is valid until October. If I were to book flights this month for next summer am I covered? Of course I intend on renewing the same policy for a year when it expires in October.

I would of thought so but why not ring your travel insurance company and ask them direct

Asked the same question of my insurance and they said I would be covered for cancellation up to the date of renewal.
I would e-mail if possible so you have written prove.
