awesome car, very nice drive, and loads of space.

For perspective, you've probably heard of the "Minnie Vans", the new paid transportation system at WDW (polka dotted cars). Those cars are mostly (if not all) Cheverolet Traverses.
That was old Traverse new one is shrunk into Standard Suv, as all new hence why at present rated so highly in this class.
No doubt someone will release a new model soon which will become model rated as best.
It's always hard compare as models change so regularly , and of course what someone rented last year may be a completely or largely revamped so review may well be out dated .
I personally always use the US motoring press for reviews as will be up to date.

They look fairly different and we saw absolutely loads of Rogue Sports when in Orlando a few weeks ago. Amongst other US SUVs, Rogue Sport looks almost dinky but in the UK people would probably think it's quite big.
If you look at Alamo listings they mention the Rogue as an intermediate - must mean the Sport if the full Rogue is closer in size to the UK X-Trail.

My Qashqai looks massive compared to our Fiat 500cc - good knows what it would be like to drive a Fiat 500 surrounded by Standard and Full Size SUV's

No there was at least ten in the Standard SUV line on Collection and the SIPP code on the key ring was SFAR, so the one we chose was classed as standard SUV and confirmed as such on the contract.

good to know, as I have a Std SUV booked in a few months, and sure would appreciate driving a Traverse again

as far as the Contract goes, I'm not placing much trust in what's printed on it ... my experience, last august we had an Intermediate SUV booked, the rep at the gate spent a couple of minutes typing on her computer, and when I got the contract it read Intermediate SUV on all 3 lines (booked, driven and billed) and, still, I was at the wheel of a Traverse ...
