Collecting car at Disney Car Care Centre

Hi everyone

We go in just over 11 months and I am planning to book our car now. Is it easy enough to collect a car from the Disney Car Care Centre? We fly into MCO and want to take the Magical Express to OKW. We are happy enough not to pick up the car for a couple of days. How do we get to the Disney CCC? Do we call them to pick us up from OKW? Also, we plan on hiring a Standard SUV - is there much of a selection there or do you just get handed the keys and take what you are given?

THanks!

arrange the free shuttle with alamo or OKW front desk 24hrs before pick up

you are assigned a car at DCC, no choosing
if you don't like the car, try to go back to the desk and ask for a change, and see what they have to say.

Alamo will pick you up from your resort and take you to DCCC - arrange it the night before over the 'phone or through the concierge at resort (that's what we did from CBR last time).

They'll give you a time for a shuttle, and that's that - turn up, get a lift, collect your car.

At drop-off, there are shuttles to take you back.

When we rented, we had booked a standard convertible, and were offered a coice of Mustang or Camaro, but then the keys were handed to you, so it's not quite "pick your own" like at the airport.

Our next trip in Aug '18, we've booked an Intermediate SUV - Nissan Rogue (Qashqai) or similar, so will be interesting to see if we get offered a choice of models (since it ain't a 50:50 pony-car split).

Great staff at the CCC. When I swapped a Lincoln out with a slow puncture I dealt with an ex pat Lady in her 50's. Lovely Lady and tried to convince me to go for a Camaro not a Cadillac

When I told her I was built for comfort not speed she burst out laughing and said she missed good old British smut

Thanks everyone - we will be dropping off at MCO so it's really just the pick-up I was worried about.

We swapped out the car we picked up at MCO at the CCC last year. Not a lot of choice but the staff are great and i was handed 3 sets of keys and told to pick the one I wanted, It is near the entrance to MK so only a quick drive in

we have just done this for the first time and thought it was fab. arranged collection from Saratoga springs in the morning for that evening. they were there on time for collection a short journey and we were the only ones at the car care centre at the time so very stress free compared to MCO. Booked a std SUV and went out with a beautiful Nissan Armada brand new never been hired before. Very happy will definitely be using again.
