It doesn't matter if you've linked them to MDE - you can still upgrade the tickets. Just like how people upgrade their tickets to an annual pass or add more days to their ticket, you can upgrade from a value to a regular ticket. Disney will be happy to take a little more money off you.

Either phone them or speak to a CM at a ticket window.

I do think it's a bit unfair of Disney to officially set a date to a "value" day and then later change it to a "regular" day. I assume this actually happened on Disney's website - the dates you were looking at were originally shown as "value" on Disney's website and then changed after you bought the tickets?

Yeah this was on mde. I checked before i bought them and labor day was a green square with the code if “good to go” underneath and now they’ve blocked it to a grey square

Am I right in thinking you can use your MYW tickets on any day still?

If they're multiday tickets, yes

it's just the 1 day tickets that have a "season" they can only be used at

if you have one day 'any day" ticket (or whatever they're called) you can use it ... on any day
if you hold a value ticket, you can only use it on a value day

That's currently true for multi-day MYW tickets. However, it isn't the case for 1 day tickets. Stephy says she has a 1 day 'value' ticket for MK and those can only be used on off-peak 'value' days.

Disney have announced that later in the year they are going to change the MYW multi-day tickets to make those seasonal. In which case, I assume a multi-day Value MYW ticket will only be useable on value days.
