Excited about Disney

... just a little review of the Star Wars VR @ Disney Springs which we did earlier this month
We arrived about 15 mins early & they have bookings every 15 mins so just waited in a small queue alongside the people with the earlier booking, they called us through right on our time time & scanned our bar code, we filled in some details on an ipad & then received a paper wrist band. The wait then was only a few minutes as you went into a briefing room with 7 others & watched a big screen (don't worry I won't give anything away) for a minute or so before getting fitted out with the VR suit & mask - little tip here in making sure you have the mask fitted snuggly to your eyes as mine was a little slack & to get the full VR sensation I had to keep pushing the mask back on my face (there are plenty of guys helping with fitting so get them to help you if needed). After that it was straight into the experience in groups of 4 so ideal if there's 4 of you - we shared with a couple of Americans. Both my son & I really enjoyed the experience & it lasted about 10 or 15 minutes. Happy to advise on anything else but we would highly recommend this to anyone & you don't really need to be a Star Wars nut to enjoy it. Cheers Les

Been back a couple of weeks now so thought I'd report back on our experience.
It was quite frankly amazing! I was quite nervous on the day partly as I wasn't sure if I would feel a bit silly and also because i get motion sick quite easily. We got there for our time slot but did end up waiting in a line for around half an hour. There was three of us and no single riders so we did it in a three rather than a four. The equipment is really heavy on your back but manageable and I would echo what has been said about making sure the visor is tight enough as I did keep having to push mine back on my head so I don't think I had fitted mine right. After the preshow we got started. For the first two minutes i felt a little wobbly and unsure - sort of worried about bumping into a wall! But after this initial time I virtually forgot it wasn't real. I completely lost any fear of moving around and my brain seemed to totally believe what it saw. It is fantastically real which, as a Star Wars fan since age seven, almost made me cry. I really did feel like i was in the corridors of an imperial base! The best part was that I didn't get even slightly motion sick which was amazing to me - maybe because it is so real that there is no disconnect between what your eyes are seeing and what your brain is telling you. I also didn't feel claustrophobic which I was concerned about too. It's more a visor than a helmet. So for anyone even remotely interested I would highly recommend the experience

Thanks to everyone for the reviews. I have booked this for my daughter, her partner, my husband and my son in July. Dd knows about it but it will be a surprise for the three guys. I'm certain they are going to love it. Son's partner and I are going to have a Margarita at Dockside Margaritas while we wait for them
