Can you book free seats in Bubble within 24 hrs before?
We are currently in ORL and are flying home tomorrow eve. There are still seats available in the bubble- if we wait til 24 hours before to select them, will they be free?

I think the answer is yes. I've done it with downstairs seats, so I don't see why you can't with bubble seats. Join flying club and get 72 hours to choose seats.

I think you do have to pay but not 100% - I think they are classed along the line of extra leg room seats if you get what I mean

According to the VA site, Econ light allows you to book a 'standard' seat for free at at check in. That would indicate that seats in the upstairs cabin are chargeable.
However, I'm not clear as to whether you're in Econ light or booked your flight before March 18. Be interesting to hear how it plays out for you. Jill |

I’m a flying club member already and seats are showing as £35. 24 hours away will be in about 7 hours so will keep you posted! Thanks

I think they are £35 , only standard seats are free. It doesn’t hurt to ask at the airport though , if you don’t ask you don’t get

Yes, I am almost certain you are correct as we flew back from Orlando the Friday before last on Economy Classic tickets with standard seats reserved in the main cabin & were asked at Check In whether we would like to upgrade to Extra Leg Room seats for $79 each, with the third seat in the row for free. This suggested to me that the flight was not going to be full, so we declined the offer & kept the 2 seats we had booked in the centre row of four. It transpired that the flight was indeed nowhere near full & when the door was closed the 2 seats next to us were empty, so we ended up having 4 seats between us to stretch out in without paying an extra cent!
Edit: On a previous trip around 5 years ago we returned home on a much busier flight having opted not to pay to reserve seats in advance & were separated (appreciated this was a possibility & it didn't bother either of us) with my husband being given an ELR seat for free, as there weren't any other unoccupied seats in Economy. So there may also be a chance of getting free seats in the Bubble too if the flight is full. Edited at 11:09 PM. |

Update - all of the bubble seats were gone by the time it was time to check in so we’re sat downstairs now anyway! Sorry I couldn’t find out the answer!
