Mobile Virgin/Flybe OLCI

We normally fly BA via Gatwick and have found OLCI and booking amendments to be a breeze, but this year we're booked with Virgin Atlantic to fly from EDI-MAN-MCO. The Virgin website & app has all the flight info, I can check seats/meals etc but can't select any seats for the FlyBE section. When I try to login to FlyBE website it doesn't recognise the booking reference.
My flight leaves in 2 weeks, will OLCI become available 24 hours before or will I have to check in with FlyBE at Edinburgh?

I am doing the same in Sept. I booked with Virgin Holidays and have three different booking no - an all digit on for Virgin and a letter and number one for outbound flights and a different one for inbound.

The reference for outbound flights works on Fly-be and the Inbound reference works on Virgin Atlantic.

I wouldn't worry about selecting seats, the Dash 8 isn't too cramped and the flight is about 45minutes from EDI down to MAN. You'll arrive at MAN T3 and will get transferred over to T2 for VS, just advise the agent when you get off the flight and they should direct you to Flight Transfers. Pretty certain your bags will be through checked but just check at the FlyBE checkin in EDI

Well, after booking the flights 8 months ago for the upcoming flight next week, turns out I was never given the FlyBE booking reference. The ref I have is only for the VA flights. Virgin call centre reckons I should have had another reference sent out at the time of booking, I never received anything and they don't have it to give?
I had to call FlyBE this morning and after a lot of fact checking they eventually found our reservation and passed over their booking ref.
Normally I plan things to the nth degree, can't believe I almost rocked up to the airport without a booking reference :-0

i don't know about your flight, but the flybe plane i got last week (EMA>AMS) had a 6 character alphabetic reference code, and OLCI opened 36 hours before flying

on the return leg, i couldnt do OLCI, it forced me to check in at the desk

Yup, I now have the 6 letter code that allows me to book seats (as we're in the "fly more" class) and I can also see OLCI is 36hrs in advance.
I'm just surprised I missed the FlyBE booking reference, I'm too used to flying BA where everything is under one Amadeus code,

we're doing this in September so will be interested to know how the check in goes as I was wondering if we can check in for all the flights at the Flybe desk in EDI or if it has to be done online.

We have ABZ-MAN-MCO, Flybe and VA. Called VA who gave me the ref to access our booking online, but it didn’t work as Flybe changed all their booking refs a few months ago. Sent them an email and a mere week later (!) we got the correct ref and were able to access our booking.
