I saw Dennis Hopper getting his shoes shined in the airport in Houston. I had to go up to him to tell him I loved him in "Blue Velvet". He stared down at me and said, "How 'bout a ride neighbour". I dropped my hot dog on my shoes. Quite memorable.

My husband saw Hugh Heffner (Playboy) coming off Tower of Terror a couple of years ago. He was surrounded by body guards apparently.

Loved this thread and enjoyed the posts forgot to add that DW once worked with Carol Smilie way before she was big on TV, DW used to organise lots of events and one was a beauty contest and Carol was the compare along with Paul Coia ( well known in Scotland and he was the FIRST ever voice on Channel 4 ) Watching all the heads of state arriving at Prestwick Airport for the G8 Summit in 2005 ... does that count ... prob NOT lol |

DW has been fortunate enough to photograph a lot of " famous " people in her time...from HM Queen Elizabeth down..or up..depending on your viewpoint!
Her favourite people. she photographed / interviewed ... i.e. nice, polite and not " up their own bums"...are: David Jason, Ronnie Barker, Mel B ( Sporty Spice ), Lord Litchfield, Pierce Brosnan ( she still goes weak at the knees at the thought of him... ggrrr ) and Daniel Bedingfield. The ones she loathed...i.e. arrogant and definitely full of themselves... Peter Howett ( Joey in Bread...a total creep ), Charles Dance and Christopher Biggins. Biggins wins hands down as being the person she'd least like to ever meet again... an ego as big as his body with a talent the size of his fingernail. He`preened for ages discussing which was his " best side " for a photo. DW got as close as she'll ever get to giving someone a smack in the head... lol! She's photographed many more famous names...but feels most people are just down to earth...celebs or not... the list above are the prominent memories for various reasons! Me...best I did was interview Bryan Ferry with a mate who worked for NME many years ago. We also had dinner with Mr. Ferry... who has to be THE most boring person ever... amazing looking guy... with the personality of an avacado. Mike |

We nearly ran Julia Roberts over on Rodeo Drive in California! She jumped out of a car and ran accross the street into a shop...2 seconds earlier and we'd have got her!

Saw David Seaman outside the Christmas shop in Island of Adventure and Danny Baker looking at Spongebob Squarepants toys in Universal Studios - both last year.
DH swears he saw Steven Spielberg sitting behind us on the train leaving Magic Kingdom once, but I have my doubts. There was a rumour buzzing around the Fantasmic show at MGM in 2001 that Tom Cruise was there but we didn't see him! |
