We are planning to go to the police museum opposite gates to kennedy space centre, for my DH and DS, there is a shooting range there and you can also have a helicopter ride for $40 each inluding the ranges and 30 rounds or something, i looked into it a while ago and they seemed quite pleased with it, there is also a memorial to cops who have died in the line of duty etc, (seems a bit odd to us brits to have a shooting range next door) sounded like something different to the theme parks though and would tie in with a visit to cocoa beach, or KSC

i did e-mail them to ask what the age restrictions were etc but it bounced back

let me know how you get on will you?

my DH and 2DSs went to a gun range last year along the orange blossom trail somewhere i'll try and look it up for you i waited outside in the lobby, not my cup of tea but the "boys" (all 3 of them!) loved it. althoigh DH said its not as easy as it looks. and in a way was quite frightning knowing that you and others around had the power to kill someone.

the gun place we went to had a vast array of guns including machine guns. and the man there was very helpful helping them to choose the right gun for a novice.

it cost about $100 for the 3 of them and they were in there for about 45mins

all 3 said they want to do it again

me my boyfriends and mum and stepdad went to the one thats opposite the jail, it was a rather weird experience but good, it was quite scary though to think that anyone with proof of age (18 or over) Could walk in pick up a gun for a cpl of dollars and start shooting some paper guy, was really loud as well, whilst we were there two guys came and one of them had a machine gun! that was pretty scary! but hope you have a good time, i came out half way through as it all got a bit too scary hehe!
