Half Board & Full Board voucher dates

Another question...

I am planning on upgrading from HB to FB on an upcoming 2 night stay. £108 for a family of four for one extra meal for two days seems like good value to me?

My plan would be to use one set of vouchers (or their trade in value) on 'departure day'. Is this possible? For example, are their dates or any other conditions on the vouchers? I like the idea of 'cashing in' the vouchers against a sit down meal.

All advice gratefully received as ever!

You can use your vouchers from your day of arrival until your day of departure. Though you only get them per night, if that makes sense.

Where are you staying/thinking of staying? That actually affects your dining plan. If you're staying in Sequoia Lodge, Newport Bay Club or Hotel New York, you get Plus dining, which includes some table service restaurants. Though you'll find they have a set menu for the vouchers, with choices, of course.

Also, the value of Full Board vouchers (face value) is less than half board, someone explained to me on here, that the face value is actually what you pay, so the full board option makes your meal vouchers cheaper than what you'd pay out of pocket, therefore the voucher reflects that. It does mean that if you use the voucher for the set menu, you save quite a bit more money than paying out of pocket. Once more, I hope that makes sense!

I'm also pretty sure that it's one voucher per person, per meal.

(When I had free full board, I had dinner the first day, 2 meals the middle days, and lunch on my last.)

Please feel free to ask me to clarify anything that makes no sense, and if I know the answer to any more questions I'll be happy to help. x

Did you get the free half board or did you buy it? It makes a difference to breakfast
