Yachtsman Steakhouse
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Saturday evening we headed to the Yachtsman Steakhouse. I was really looking forward to this one and it didn't disappoint. I loved the lobby - would love to stay here but it's a smidge out of my price range. We ordered a bottle of red to share. We decided to go all out and get starters. I ordered the French Onion Soup $12 Amazing. Really flavourful. I have abit of a love affair with cheese anyway but it honestly was lovely. Chris had a salad - think it was Ceaser $12. You can just about see the amazing bread in the photo. I'm not ashamed to say we had two lots of the bread. I think I could have just made a meal out of the garlic and bread . I had the 10-oz Black Angus Filet Mignon. This came with mash on the menu but I asked for the salt and vinegar malt fries instead. $54. Amazing, stunning, can't heap enough praise on this steak. I was afraid before coming that there was alot of hype and also some bad reviews but I was so happy once I had one bite of this. Chris had the Elk Tenderloin. Presentation 10/10 for this one. It looked so lovely on the plate. Also tasted amazing - I stole a piece :P We were too full at this point for a big desert but decided to have a coffee (for Chris) and sorbet (for me). We were originally meant to go to Hollywood Studios for the fireworks but the weather had just taken a turn for the worst and the rain was horrific so we thought we would stay put. Total bill was $256.48 including tip - had to check the currency card for the price as I didn't take a photo of the receipt. Overall an expensive meal but we loved it. It felt like a proper 'date night'. |

Ooh Yachtsman looks great. Lovely filet mignon. It's definitely on my short list for next year.

I love Yachtsman. It was my favourite meal on our last trip and it's one of only 2 repeats on our upcoming one!
That soup looks so good but I'm just not sure I can give up the chocolate and peanut dessert in favour of it. Decisions decisions!
