Dibb Easy Uploader black screen?

I've been doing my latest trip report but numerous photos I upload on the Dibb Easy Uploader just appear as black screen thumbnails so I can't use them. Any ideas why this is? These are all from my wife's phone which is Samsung s7. Mine is the same phone but i have no issues. It's a real shame as she has great photos. I feel my reports are already suffering with lack of photobucket

I sometimes find that this happens with photos taken on my Samsung S5 phone (uploading them from my laptop). I find if I crop them (even just slightly) then they will upload fine.

It's a bit of a pain, but I just do it as part of my sorting process now, and put the cropped / Dibb ready images into a separate folder, which then makes them easier to find when I'm uploading.

Would be interested to know if there is a quicker fix tho 😀

Are they taken with the front facing camera? The EXIF data might not be causing this issue where it cannot work out the orientation.

Some definitely selfies so I get they may not work but others are normal but may have had a little bit of zoom in

The issue has now been fixed. Thanks for sending me the images. The problem was that the images were technically had invalid JPEG markers in them. There were significant differences between the EXIF data of the images that worked and the ones that didn't.

I have now put in a workaround for this type of EXIF mismatch.
