Five Go On a Culinary Caper - Epcot Food And Wine Festival Day 19

Today we are at the first day of the food and wine festival. My intention is to write this part of the food report as we go around the various areas. Otherwise there will be too much to do when we've finished. I'll write up the rest of the day as normal as day 19.

Our first purchase! A tray for our snacks! How cool is this?!

Kara tamba tarekuchi dry sake

A pleasant dry sake

Kakigori strawberry and blue raspberry

Not technically food and wine but it's roasting out here today!

Again not technically food and wine but mum has wanted one all holiday and we've only got two days left! ... she loved it!

Generous amount of lobster- really tasty 😋

Orange blossom brewing foxtail cold brew coffee pilsner

This is good - there is a definite coffee taste, strange but remarkably good

Anchor brewing liberty ale

Ordinary ale nothing exciting

Victory golden monkey

Lovely white Belgium beer slightly honeyed taste

A reasonable cannoli but was lacking filling which is in my opinion the best bit... I had a better one in Tutto Italia for dinner

Radeberger Zwickel Pilsner (Unfiltered)

Reasonable, easy drink beer

Schöfferhofer Hefeweizen Pomegranate Beer

I've been waiting for this...! Even better than grapefruit version.. shame it's only brewed for food and wine festival

India
Madras Red Curry with Roasted Cauliflower, Baby Carrots, Chickpeas and Basmati Rice

Really really lovely, spicy and flavourful. A great dish

Warm Indian Bread with Pickled Garlic, Mango Salsa and Coriander Pesto Dips –

Very good, lots of flavour in the dips and a fair kick too

Mango Lassi (Non-Alcoholic)

Youngest in particular really enjoyed this, a milky style smoothie

China

Black Pepper Shrimp with Garlic Noodles –

Lovely- good portion with a decent amount of shrimp, very garlicky noodles

Chicken Potstickers

Devoured by eldest- he said lovely taste with nice spice. They weren't around long enough for anyone else to find out!

Tsingtao Lager

Bright Horizons: Sprite® with Multi-flavored Boba Pearls (Non-Alcoholic)

A big hit with the kids! Flashing cup and boba pearls!

Farm fresh

Crispy Chicken with Griddled Cornbread and Red Eye Gravy

Hubby ended up with 2 of these last accidentally but he didn't like it. He said it was chewy rather than crispy. The cornbread was honey flavoured but he wasn't keen on that either!

Hard cider flight

I loved the raspberry and. Citrus ones but didn't like the elderberry one. Hubby agreed!

Almond Orchard

Fire-roasted Tomato Hummus topped with Blue Diamond Salt & Vinegar Almonds and served with Blue Diamond Nut Thins®
And
Strawberry Smoothie made with Blue Diamond Almond Breeze® Almondmilk

Great hummus really tasty good tomato flavour.

The smoothie was fantastic, lots of strawberry in it.

Islands of the Caribbean

Quesito: Puff Pastry with Sweetened Cream Cheese and Guava Sauce

Yummy 😋
