Mobile Internet hotspot device?

We have just moved and have no internet for 2 weeks. I'm using my data and picking up a bt wifi with fon signal which is on and off.

I'm wondering if one of those hotspot devices would be a good idea? As everyone getting quite frustrated and I don't know what sort of data charges we will end up with after 2 weeks!
(kids are on virgin mobile)

Any recommendations ?

I used to use BT Fon when we had a caravan as the sites had it, it is not secure. On the old laptop I used on campsites the internet keeps going back to Fon but I cannot find how to delete it.

I bought a ee mobile broadband box from currys recently when our home broadband was slow and it was fantastic. The box was supposed to be £15 with 32 gb of data costing £29 but they gave me the box free after a bit of haggling😀 It's a 30 day rolling contract so you have 30 days to use the 32gb of data. The internet speed was much faster than our home broadband up to 50mbps. really good box rechargeable and portable to use anywhere.you need to give 30 days notice to cancel but it's a 30 day contract so just cancel on the day you buy and you only pay for the one month.

Mobile

We've managed with the Fon signal but it's been frustrating. Will be pleased to get real wifi installed
