Why do threads get deleted?
No warning or reason given they just disappear.
Appreciate that forum needs to be moderated but it seems "regulars" can say what they want but any slight disagreement with a "regular" ends up with thread being deleted without warning? |

I've had two of mine deleted in the past couple of days One about Sea World and the other one about how awkward it is reclinging seats on a plane...I didn't think either one would be not suitable for the dibb but I guess not!

Both topics can get very heated on here. You can probably find old threads if you search, which may give you an idea why.
Paulfoel - being an old timer on here, I certainly don't see 'regulars' getting to say things others can't. But if you have a concern, drop an email to one of the mods and I'm sure they will explain.

Regulars and long termers just know more about the things that get stopped such as reclining seats, tipping, political posts etc.

hey ive had my fair share deleted...
and been miffed about it but have also seen fairly innocuous thread catch fire very quickly overall Mods do a fab job, just reread the rules and you see why your own posts were removed, or a thread was closed or removed - sometimes its at the request of the OP. I post here and on a football site. the football drives me nuts as sometimes it can take days for posts to go up - as all those posts are moderated before they are published. I much prefer the dibb as you can say anything you want (apart from what sets of the swear filter) and then it is moderated - makes a HUGE difference to the enjoy-ability of the site. Ultimately (as they had had to point out to me on several occasions) this is a site about planning a Disney holiday - so its should be light and fun... when issues that cause heated debate come up as they do often - its back to the light and fun by closing the thread.

I had a couple of mine deleted when I first joined, I now know what is allowed and what is not. Just try to get my point across as friendly as possible, we all have different opinions which is good x

Threads usually only get deleted when they are either in breach of our rules, we can see that the thread will cause problems due to it's content or we see a user posting a thread that is or has the potential to wind up or antagonise other members.
