Breakfast in room when staying onsite

I see so many Dibbers who eat breakfast items in their rooms. This seems eminently sensible to me but I have a couple of questions:

1. What are the best food items to keep in your room?

2. Where do you get it from? We'll be onsite with no car so can't just pop to Walmart!

Wasn't sure we'd need enough stuff to warrant getting an online order delivered to the hotel but would appreciate your opinions and experiences!

Thanks

You can get some items from the hotel shop. There are also 2 petrol stations onsite, which have mini marts. One near the Boardwalk and one near Disney Springs.
Or you can walk to crossroads.

There aren't as cheap as Publix or Walmart but if you don't need much then it's cheaper than paying a delivery charge or for a taxi.

We pack some plastic bowls and get milk and cereal, or donuts, both are available in the hotel shop.

Mrs Morrow brings out 2 boxes of Bran Flakes as she thinks the UK brands have less sugar content.

I detest milk so have toast.

The milk bread and spread can be bought at the Resort shop. Certainly keeps your costs down. We don't eat a cooked breakfast so it suits us fine albeit we shop at Publix not the Resort.

Thank you Mr. M - just one question: How do you do toast in an hotel room?

We're at AKL...

We have used the Garden Grocer for breakfast stuff before, it is easy because your delivery is in your hotel before you arrive and is just kept with Bell Services. If you are only buying breakfast stuff though that might be an expensive way of doing it. We ordered all our suntan cream etc as well.

You can't toast unless you have kitchenette which standard hotel rooms don't have. We would either have cereal or a muffin/pastry.

Ahhh. Sorry didn't realise that. All the DVC Resorts have a toaster and micro.

We packed a load of cereal bars...rice krispie, alpen bars etc., and had those when we were in OKW. They're quite light too for luggage.

We popped to Walmart using Uber and bought some cheap bowls, cereal and milk. Also bought some washing up liquid and sponges to do the dishes in the bathroom sink

Also cereal and milk was a snack cresit in our resort (CBR) they had pastrys as well for a snack so these could be fetched back to your room with a refil mug of coffe or juice.
