A little trip to Spain - Day 3 - October 2010
Day 3 – Monday 25th October
We get up at 8.30am today and head to the Caves of Nerja at around 10am. This was a great experience … I originally thought that it was a little bit like Blue John mines in Castleton. But we walk further in the caves and see some amazing sites. I took some photos but couldn’t use the flash so they’re a bit dark. There’s even one part of the cave which has a stage and seating area where they have concerts as the acoustics are amazing. It takes us about an hour to wander around and we head back to an outdoor public pool back in Le Herradura to find it’s closed . So we decide to try to see if we can find another beach between Le Herradura and Nerja. We stumble across a busy looking beach called Burriana. We go to an English bar called OLAS where we have a late breakfast. I have a breakfast ciabatta and everyone else a full English. Afterwards we go pick a sun lounger on the beach and then me and Craig go and wander down the front into the shops. I find the Oakley sunglasses I bought at duty free in one of the shops and I was happy to find they were £30 dearer than I paid . We spent 4 hours on the beach that afternoon and ventured to the sea only the once as it was freezing! Here are a few pictures of the caves: Heres a nice picture to show how warm it was when we came back out of the caves - makes me want the warm sun back please! Heres my breakfast ciabatta - it had bacon, sausage, egg, hashbrown and tomatoes on it - and it was huge! Heres some pictures of Burriana beach: Heres two signs I found quite amusing next to the beach... Dogs pooping zone! Dogs no pooping zone! We set off back to the apartment at about 5pm to get showered and changed to go to the city of Torrox to meet with Dads friends Duncan and Gail. In Torrox we sat at a bar on the sea front for a drink and watched the sunset. Here are my photos… Me and Craig We then go to an Indian restaurant (unfortunately I forgot to take any photos) which is all you can eat or rather what ever you want for €10. Two words sprang to mind after the meal… Bargain and FULL! The restaurant was lovely and the food really good. I still had to get my mind around the fact that my Dad and Claire could smoke in the restaurants. We headed back to the apartment and get to bed at 11.30pm. P.S - does anyone know how to put my pictures the right way up - they're fine when I open them on the computer is it because they have to be a particular size so portrait photos turn landscape?

loving your trippie, and the wonky photos Stunning sunsets, got to get me to Nerja next weekend! Your trippie is really getting me in the mood for my break :
Not sure about your photo orientation. If you've turned them before you've uploaded them I'm not sure why they are showing the wrong way round. I haven't found a way to rotate them once they are on the Dibb unfortunately. Sorry I can't be of more help. Have you tried asking on the Dibb's Guest Services forum, I've found Dibbers there very helpful when I've had a techie prob. Any more trippie? |
