Texas Tales - Preamble

Preamble

This trip had been planned for a long time, mainly as we were taking advantage of our American Express companion ticket and therefore needed to book our flight well in advance to grasp one of the few Reward seats on the flight, and of course save enough air miles. The other reason this trip had been considered for a long time was that I'd found the Bed and Breakfast we were planning to stay in a good three years ago.

But here we were finally, booked to go on a whirl wind visit to Texas. The plan was, take advantage of the Easter Bank Holidays, and that extra one due to the Royal Wedding and book only 3 Days off work for a nine day holiday. So our itinerary was one night in the local Marriott Hotel located right inside the Airport as the flight was due to land late evening, then five nights in San Antonio in a privately owned house rented through Vacation Rentals by Owners, for a few days of visiting the famous River Walk. Then finally three nights in the Amazing Inn above Onion Creek Bed and Breakfast, that actually included a three course dinner in the reasonable costs.

Only thing now was to wait till Easter!
