Disembarking and time between flights
Hi All,
I am sailing with NCL from Reykjavik and am looking to book a 9am flight. My question is will this allow any time to get to the airport? NCL have advised it would be impossible to make the flight saying the following; But more importantly, your return flight is too early, you would not make the flight. The cruise arrives in port at 06:00 but you can take up to 2 hours or more to disembark and then it is 45 minutes to the airport I'm now looking at the next flight which is 3 days later. Does that seem the best thing too do based on what NCL are advising?

Alternatively Jet2 are offering a flight at 11:15 so not sure if this would be a better option or just to fly a couple days after the cruise

In my opinion, 9am is definitely too early. Your timings above exclude minimum check in time at the airport (2 hours?)
A two hour delay between a ship docking and the first passengers disembarking is very unusual in my experience, but I suppose NCL have to cover themselves. An 11.15 flight is more doable with an expedited, carry your own luggage, disembarkation and then a pre-booked taxi/shuttle direct to the airport. |

Thanks Omega1. Annoyingly I had already booked the flight back with easyjet and looking at their T&C's i won't be entitled to any refund. I can move my return flight from 4th to 7th August 2022 so will look at extending the holiday and enjoying the city.
